The Interdisciplinary Centre for Gender Studies (CISG) at the Faculty of Letters, History, Philosophy, and Theology, West University of Timiș¸oara, is pleased to announce the second edition of the international student conference titled “The Semiotics of Gender”. The conference will take place on-site in Timiș¸oara, Romania, on 28 May 2026. This event welcomes contributions from students interested in exploring the intersections between semiotics, gender, and cultural production. The conference is open to students and researchers interested in the following areas:

• Gender and Women’s Studies

• Manga and Anime Studies

Presentation format: 10-minute oral presentations followed by 5-minute-long-discussions.
